EVENT DESCRIPTIONS

LOG PRESS

• Competitors must clean the log from the floor and then perform standing presses for reps.

• Competitors must press the log from their chest, above their head and lock their elbows at the top.

• Competitors may use their legs. Competitors may place the bar back on the floor but must have at least one hand on the bar at all times.

• Each competitor gets one attempt. The most reps wins. No elbow wraps are permitted. There is a 60-second time limit.

WEIGHTS USED

   Open Women: Lightwt - 100, Heavywt - 120
   Novice Men: Lightwt/Middlewt - 180, Light-Heavytwt/Heavywt - 210
   Masters Men: Lightwt - 210, Heavywt - 240
   Open Men: Lightwt/Middlewt - 210
   Open Men:

Light-Heavywt, Heavywt and Super-Heavywt - 240

 

FARMER’S WALK

• Competitors must carry two Farmers Walk tubes a distance of 50’, make a 180-degree turn and then go 50’ more.

• The time is recorded when the competitor crosses the finish line. When applicable the distance is recorded when one of the objects touches the ground.

• Each competitor gets one attempt. The shortest time over the distance wins.

• Chalk and a belt only. No straps or gloves permitted. There is a 60-second time limit.

WEIGHTS USED

   Open Women: Lightwt - 120, Heavwt - 150
   Novice Men: Lightwt/Middlewt - 180, Light-Heavywt/Heavywt - 210
   Masters Men: Lightwt - 210, Heavywt - 240
   Open Men: Lightwt/Middlewt - 210
   Open Men: Light-Heavywt, Heavywt and Super-Heavywt - 240

 

TIRE FLIP

• Competitors must flip an industrial tire over a distance of 90 feet.

• Each competitor gets one attempt. The quickest time wins. The time is recorded when the tire touches the finish line. There is a 75-second time limit.


TIRES USED PER CLASS

   Open Women: Lightwt and Heavywt - 500
   Novice Men: All Classes – 700 lb tire
   Masters Men: All Classes – 700 lb tire
   Open Men: All Classes – 700 lb tire

 

KEG CARRY

• Competitors must carry 4 beer kegs for a distance of 30 feet. Women must carry 3 kegs.

• The kegs must be carried from the starting line and placed in an upright position past the finish line.

• Each competitor gets one attempt. The quickest time wins.

• The kegs used will be ½ kegs filled with water. The weight is 170 lbs per keg.

 

DEADLIFT FOR REPS

• Competitors must perform a standard deadlift using a barbell. No sumo deadlifts. No suits. Straps are permitted.

• The maximum number of reps wins. There is a 60 second time limit.

   Open Women: Lightwt - 235, Heavywt - 285
   Novice Men:

Lightwt/Middlewt - 325, Light-Heavywt/Heavywt - 415

   Masters Men:

Lightwt - 415, Heavywt - 505

   Open Men:

Lightwt/Middlewt - 415

   Open Men:

Light-Heavywt, Heavywt and Super-Heavywt - 505
